Please note: While this installation guide uses the Naza 2 as an example, the installation process is identical for the DJI A2, Phantom 2 and Wookong aircrafts as well. For further instruction, be sure to contact our support team at

1. What You Need

To get started you will need the DJI Naza 2 Flight Controller system, your Flytrex Live 3G Plus and the Flytrex Naza 2 Adapter. When ordering Flytrex Live you will be asked which cable/adapter you wish to include with your order, make sure to select the correct flight controller.

2. A2 Setup

Before installing Flytrex Live 3G you should have your DJI Naza 2 flight controller setup according to DJI guidelines. The picture below shows our Naza 2 flight controller setup. The Naza 2 components can be connected in different order as well - this won’t have any affect on your Live installation.

3. Connecting Flytrex Live 3G Plus

Connect the Flytrex Adapter cable to any free CAN BUS port on your Naza 2 setup. If installing the Phantom 2, please connect your Flytrex to the free CAN BUS port on the arm of the aircraft. If installing the A2, please note that you must connect the CAN BUS adapter to the port where the GPS connection is made.

4. SIM Card

Insert a SIM with data plan to your Live system. You should be placing your SIM card face-up, so that the logo of your SIM card is the same direction as the top of the Flytrex unit. Please see photo below for an example.

5. All Set

That's it! Your new Flytrex Live 3G will now create a range-free, real-time, GSM data connection automatically each time you go flying. Before taking off for the first time, power your aircraft and ensure that the Live LED turns flashing green after initialization. This indicates the real-time flight data is now streamed automatically to your Flytrex account.
